Late 19th to early 20th century gold plated and enameled The Knights Templar pendant / medal with cross and crown decorated with rubies (one missing) and fitting on top in a shape of a knight’s helmet. The Knights Templar (full name The United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta) is a fraternal order affiliated with Freemasonry.. Its motto "In hoc signo vinces” seen on the front is a Latin phrase conventionally translated into English as "In this sign thou shalt conquer”. The helmet is hinged and can move. Overall in decent vintage condition. Height including the helmet on top 1 5/16 inches (33 mm).
