The
Knights of the Ancient Order of the Mystic Chain
was a secret society in the US in the late nineteenth century.
Founded by Freemasons
in 1871, the group had a strong Masonic influence in its rituals and degrees, as well as incorporating elements from the Bible
and Arthurian
legends
This is a beautiful large fraternal pin /ribbon
It measures approx 7.75" long X 2.5" wide
plus a 2" long fringe of gold bullion
It  has lettering on both sides .
On the front side is the usual red white & blue waving flags & medallion
There is some fraying of the s ilk ribbon
that the flags & medallion are on which is not unusual since silk tends to dry out over time

The back of the ribbon s black with silver lettering

The back side has  a pair of shaking hands
in the celluloid frame at the top

There is no damage to the ribbon underneath on either side
The gold bullion fringe is in very good condition
