4140/4142 Turned, Ground, & Polished Steel Shafting, TGP, 4140 Q&T
12mm diameter x  36" long.  1 piece.
The length tolerance is ± 1/4".
Chrome molybdenum alloy steel hardened to 262-321 Brinell and turned, ground, and polished for a high accuracy finish.  Used for shafting applications where a higher tensile is needed than low carbon steels and machining is required. Machinable and ready to use for shafts, cams, gears, spindles, bolts, axle shafts, collars, tie rods, and other parts requiring a precision ground surface and elevated tensile strength. Offers a good fit for standard bearings. Finish 32 Ra or better. Shipped in a cardboard tube for protection.  The picture does not necessarily represent the item that you will get but they are similar.  Approx weight is 2 lbs.
