Jove

Jove is an American publishing imprint whose history goes back to 1949, when its predecessor, Pyramid Books, was established by Alfred R. Plaine and Matthew Huttner in the United States. The Jove name was adopted in 1977, and the imprint later became part of Berkley, under Penguin Random House, with its publishing base in New York City, USA. Jove mainly focuses on popular adult fiction, particularly romance, mystery, crime, science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. It has published works by authors such as Nora Roberts, Catherine Coulter, and Jayne Ann Krentz. Jove titles are primarily available as print books and eBooks, serving English-speaking readers in the United States and international markets. Through Penguin Random House’s worldwide publishing and distribution network, its books can reach readers across many countries. For The Love Hypothesis, Jove is especially relevant because it published the book’s original U.S. edition in 2021.
