Penguin Random House

Penguin Random House was started in 2013 when Penguin (established 1935, London by Allen Lane) merged with Random House (established 1927, New York). It has its headquarters in New York, USA, and is owned by Bertelsmann. The company operates in numerous countries such as India, the UK and Australia and it publishes books in dozens of languages. The only difference is that it is fascinating because it has a wide mix, one shelf could be a global bestseller and the other a local voice that aids the stories to move easily between cultures and readers across the globe.
